Name: Laura Kolbusz aka ‘Laura K’ (Singer – Model)

Tell us a little bit about yourself:  I am a professionally trained singer & gig across the UK with my sound engineer, he is actually my boyfriend who I live with.

How did you get started as a musician: I have been singing professionally for about 3 years or so now & I trained at Manchester’s Music Base where I got my vocal artist diploma.

I am currently with a new entertainment agency Light In The Dark Entertainments based in Manchester, UK.

I got started properly as a musician through college & gigging at places around Manchester like The Academy & The Zion Centre, this really helped with performing in front of larger crowds & helped with my confidence a lot too.

What has been your best gig so far: My best gig so far was probably for a charity night I was a part of for ‘Music For Heroes’ where I sang a set & also starred in a calendar for this cause with Danilo calendars.

What or who are your main influences: My main influences have to be: Eva Cassidy, Elvis Presley, Marilyn Monroe, Bruno Mars, James Morrison are just a few to mention!

If you could perform with anyone in the world who would it be and why: It would have to be Bruno Mars as he is my idol & his music is very inspiring & never seen anyone so amazing perform live in concert before! He just lights up the stage & you feel like your at a party not just a gig!

I have met the man himself Bruno Mars in Manchester, November 2011…

Random fact 1: I have a labrador puppy called Poppy…

Random fact 2: My favourite colour is purple…
